About our farm:
We have a small homestead in central Vermont where we try to live as sustainable as we can - from building our home with strawbale construction, to using organic practices when raising our goats, chickens and vegetables. Our small herd of registered Nubian goats are cared for with love. We make a variety of cheeses and yogurt and take care to have the highest quality raw milk and fresh eggs for sale. You can also book a stay in “The Nest” -a one bedroom addition that was designed to be a comfortable refuge, with lots of light and beautiful mountain views. While staying here you can hike, birdwatch, play with the goats or arrange for a cheese making workshop!

Meet Our Goats:
All of our goats are named for people who have helped make our world better. We started our herd with Fannie Lou Hamer and Abigail Adams. Today we have Emma Goldman, Beatrix Potter, Toshi Seeger, Ida B. Wells, Audrey Hepburn, Faith Petric, Nellie Bly, Benny Goodman and Uri Shulevitz.
Our small herd of 9 goats is made up of 7 registered does, both purebred and American Nubians, one buck and his buddy, a wether. Our buck, Benny is purebred with Fox’s Pride genetics. Our does have Fox’s Pride, Northern Spy and King’s Rock genetics. All of our goats are tested disease free for CAE, CL and Johnes disease. They are fed organic grain and have access to pasture and brush and daily scratches.
This year we have three bred does due to kid mid March. Our barn is full, so all of this year’s kids will be available to new homes. Kids are sold in pairs unless you have a herd they are joining. A 50% deposit is required to reserve a kid. We normally dam raise our kids, separating them at night from their mothers after two weeks, so that we can share the milk. They are handled daily and are extremely friendly! Kids are ready for their new homes, at about 2 months, once they are old enough to be weaned. We can train reserved kids to take a bottle in which case they can go to their new homes before weaning. Please contact us for more information and current prices.
